As a dedicated teacher in Psychiatry and former Secretary of the Indian Psychiatric Society (Karnataka Chapter), I bring years of experience in academia, mental health advocacy, and leadership.

I am running for the RGUHS Senate Election 2024 in the Other Than Professor category, with a vision to foster academic excellence, enhance student welfare, and drive research innovation across our medical community.

Educational Background

MBBS from Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences, Bellur (RGUHS).
MD in Psychiatry from JSS Medical College (JSS University).

Specialized Training

Fellowship in Women’s Mental Health and Mother-Baby Psychiatry from the University of Melbourne.

Professional Experience and Academic Contributions

He has been a guide and mentor to many post graduate and under graduate students in psychiatry.
Has published over 25 research papers in national and international journals and has also authored many book chapters in psychiatry.
To raise public awareness for mental health he has also published lot of articles in news papers and news letters.
He has involved himself in many clinical trials as principal/sub investigator.
